Editorial review policy
Selecting brands
We focus on operators that hold a current licence from the UK Gambling Commission and are accepting registrations from players in Great Britain at the time of writing. We do not aim for a long directory — the comparison list is intentionally short so each entry can be reviewed properly. Brands can be added or removed as the market changes.
How a review is produced
- We check the operator’s UK licence status and the company behind the brand.
- We open and use the site as a normal visitor would, including a small test deposit where practical.
- We look at the cashier, identity verification flow and how withdrawals are handled.
- We read the bonus terms, wagering requirements and game contribution tables.
- We test the lobby and a sample of games on both desktop and mobile.
- We check the visibility of deposit limits, time-out tools, reality checks and self-exclusion options.
How the score is built
The editor score is a comparison indicator, not a regulatory rating or a guarantee. It reflects how a brand performs across six areas, weighted by what we believe matters most to UK casino players today:
- Terms transparency and bonus clarity.
- Payments, cashier options and withdrawal experience.
- Game range and the quality of the studios behind it.
- Mobile usability and absence of aggressive prompts.
- Visibility and ease of use of responsible gambling tools.
- Customer help — both self-service content and human support.
Scores are reviewed when an operator makes a meaningful change to its product or terms. Two brands with the same score are not identical — they have different strengths, and the written review is the more useful document.
What the score does not mean
A high editor score does not promise winnings, payouts, bonus approval, account approval, faster withdrawals or any specific outcome on the operator’s site. Editor scores are not endorsed by any regulator and they should never be read as “officially recommended”. We do not use language such as “official casino” or “guaranteed payout” because that wording would be misleading.
